On the 19th of October all of the grade 6 students headed off for a practice hike in preparation for our camp in November. It was good and bad, bad because it was pouring with rain and good because we will be more prepared and know what to bring next time. Before we set off we received our School to Summit t-shirts which were designed by Eadie Lindsay, one of our grade 6 girls. Once we had received our t-shirts we set off from school to the top of Rifle Butts Reserve. It took about 3 hours to get to the top and back. When we returned we had lunch and a small break. Our next activity was bike riding. We rode for about 1 hour on the bikes. The lesson was run by our sport teacher Ms Dreissen. A few people fell off while we were practising braking quickly. To wrap up the day we organised our tent groups and did a little activity with our camp groups. Our day was tiring but we are better prepared for our camp. Everybody had lots of fun.
